It has been reduced in both size & weight and adds new features plus increased optical performance. This version has improved resolving power and benefits from functional enhancements such as the addition of a de-clickable aperture ring and high-speed AF with a redesigned AF motor, HLA (High-response Linear Actuator). Optical quality Capture beautifully rendered images anytime, anywhere. The lens includes 6 FLD glass elements, 2 SLD glass elements, and 5 aspherical lens elements that thoroughly suppress various aberrations throughout the entire zoom range. Sagittal coma flare and chromatic aberrations are also well controlled across the entire frame so that images are clear and free from colour fringing. The 5 aspherical lens elements have been optimized to be thin and highly polarized to help reduce the overall size of the lens whilst maintaining optical quality. Excellent close-up capability The lens has excellent close-up capability with a minimum focusing distance of 17cm at the wide end and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.7. This is useful when composing close-up shots of a subject, or when shooting in locations where space is limited. Designed to minimise flare and ghosting Flare and ghosting have been largely eliminated thanks to the use of special Nano Porous and Super Multi-layer Coatings applied to the front optic of the lens. The lenss optical construction provides strong backlight resistance for clear and sharp images under any lighting conditions. Minimal focus breathing The lens has been designed to suppress focus breathing. The change in angle-of-view due to focus shift across the entire zoom range is minimised, creating natural-looking focus pulls when recording video. Equipped with an aperture ring The lens is equipped with a de-clickable aperture ring that provides direct control of the aperture when capturing stills and adjusting exposure on the fly when shooting video. An aperture lock switch is also provided to prevent accidental changes. Incorporating a linear motor HLA The lens incorporates a linear HLA (High-response Linear Actuator) motor for the AF actuator. The high output HLA has increased the maximum drive speed to more than three times faster than the previous model. Main features: - Lens construction: 19 elements in 15 groups (6 FLD, 2 SLD, 5 aspherical elements) - Inner focus system - Compatible with high-speed autofocus - HLA (High-response Linear Actuator) - Supports DMF and AF+MF - Compatible with AF assist - Nano Porous Coating - Super Multi-Layer Coating - Water and Oil Repellent Coating (front element) - Aperture ring - Aperture ring click switch - Aperture ring lock switch - Two AFL buttons - Focus Mode switch - Dust and Splash Resistant Structure - Petal-type hood with lock LH875-05 - 11-blade rounded diaphragm - High-precision, durable brass bayonet mount | Sigma Unisex 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN II Art Lens - L-mount in Black | Size: 70mm
