The Masterplug 4 Socket RCD and Thermal Cut Out Cable Extension Reel is a robust 240V power solution designed for trade and domestic applications. This 20-metre open cable reel combines practical safety features with convenient portability, making it ideal for workshop environments, construction sites, and outdoor work where reliable power distribution is essential. Built to BS EN 61242 standards, this extension reel incorporates dual safety protection through both thermal cut-out technology to prevent dangerous overheating and an integrated RCD (residual current device) plug that automatically disconnects power if an electrical fault is detected. The four 13A sockets feature protective shutters for additional safety, whilst the cable remains protected within the durable outer plastic casing during storage and transport. The design prioritises practical usability for tradespeople and contractors. A heavy-duty handle ensures comfortable carrying between work areas, whilst the flat base allows the reel to stand upright for stable operation. This configuration is particularly suitable for electricians, builders, and maintenance professionals requiring safe temporary power access across gardens, workshops, or job sites where multiple tools need simultaneous connection.
