Specifically bred for containers, baskets and ground cover, ‘Singing The Blues’ possess a unique trailing habit. This marvellous mixture of four enchanting colours is not only pretty but the most sensational breakthrough in Violas for a decade! These fabulous flowers are wonderfully fragrant with a gorgeous, pervading sweet scent and, because they are tolerant to cold and heat, they can be grown all year round. Culinary note: some parts of these flowers are edible. The crystallised petals are great decorations for cakes and cookies, or they can be added straight to green salads for an injection of colour.For summer flowers sow in late winter/spring 1.5mm (1/16 in) deep in good seed compost excluding light as darkness is beneficial. Germination usually takes 14-21 days at 18-20C (66-70F). Keep the soil just moist and avoid high temperatures which will prevent germination. When seedlings are large enough, transplant and grow cool and plant out after hardening off in spring 15-23cm (6-9in) apart in most soils, sun or part shade. Refunds
