Product Description

  • 115g per tin (59g drained weight, but the oil is as good as the liver)
  • The cod liver is cooked and tinned in its own oil
  • Very high in Omega 3 fatty acids, Vitamin A and Vitamin D
  • From sustainable Icelandic cod
  • This is an ambient product, store in your cupboard until opened

And it's not just healthy... cod liver is a real delicacy, often considered a serious alternative to foie gras (call it foie de morue). This is from Iceland, where everybody is healthy and they eat a lot of cod liver. It's rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA and plentiful source of vitamins A and D. Its oil helps keep your cardiovascular function healthy and maintain healthy cholesterol levels. Please note that cod liver is not recommended during (or if planning) pregnancy due to its high Vitamin A content.

 It's great straight out of the tin but if you're more ambitious, grate lemon zest into it, plus fresh dill and perhaps some spring onion. Blend and spread on thin biscuits. Super;
